Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body making it necessary for our health and why it has so many added benefits when we consume it. It helps make connective tissue which is a component of bones, skin, muscles, tendons, and cartilage.
Why do we need to supplement with collagen if we can get some of it from our diet?
Well we might not always be getting the adequate amounts that we need. The highest food sources are animal skins, bone broth, and tendons. These foods are not always part of a traditional diet. This is why supplementing with collagen may be beneficial to our diets.
